The Characters: At a Glance
Into the Labyrinth
We all know the story of the Labyrinth, wherein Sarah defeated the Goblin King and rescued her baby half-brother, Toby. Since then over a decade has passed, and through the years the Labyrinth has changed into something darker. The Goblin King's powers have begun to fail, the Labyrinth weakening under strange forces. A deadline is drawing near and other individuals, including a mysterious queen and strange puppet master, are eyeing the throne. Jareth eventually lures Toby back to the Labyrinth, where he meets various creatures, including some that his sister encountered during her own adventure, 15 years prior. The time draws nigh, and soon the clock will strike 13. Do you have what it takes, or will the Labyrinth go into a deeper path? No one knows..

Do not take me for granted.
I am time reordered.
I am the world that is upside down.
I am your every dream, and nightmare, and idle daydream.
I am certainly not a piece of cake.
Jareth: The Goblin King

I move the stars for no one...
Jareth is definately not the easiest being to get on with, especially if one becomes a target of his amusement. He is arrogant, cocky, selfish, and sometimes cruel, depending upon the party and situation. A Brat King, if you will. His favorite things to do are vex the mind and provide the ultimate irritation to anyone he desires. However, Jareth is not all bad, of course. When in the presence of companions, he can be generous and loyal, protective even.
Sarah Williams

We all know the story of Sarah and her adventures in the Labyrinth. How she fought by the side of Hoggle, Ludo, and Sir Didymus to defeat Jareth, the Goblin King, to save her baby brother Toby from becoming a goblin. This is her story now. Some sixteen years later and the adventures are just beginning.
Give me the child. Through dangers untold, and hardships unnumbered. I have fought my way here to the castle beyond the Goblin City, to take back the child you have stolen. For my will is as strong as yours, and my kingdom as great. You have no power over me.
It seems so long ago that those words were uttered from my lips to save the brother I had once wanted to rid myself of so much. It seems even longer still that I have been in the labyrinth with Hoggle and all my other friends. I keep thinking that it was a dream, that it never really happened. But I know it wasn't. I find myself wondering about the creatures that I met there. But mostly about the king. Jareth. I may be older and wiser, but I still find myself daydreaming of times past. Toby is older now. A fine young man. But I still wonder if he remembers being in the clutches of goblins. I still wonder if I'll ever see that castle beyond the goblin city again. But mostly, I wonder if I'll ever see Jareth again.
Toby Williams

You remind me of the babe.
What babe?
The babe with the power.
What power?
The power of voodoo.
Who do?
You do.
Do what?
Remind me of the babe .
Tobie is the baby that Jareth kidnapped after he was wished away by his half-sister, Sarah. Jareth became fond of Toby and since then, Toby has grown into a high school student who displays characteristics similar to those shown by his half-sister, such as a love of theater and fantasy. He has no memories of his previous time in the Labyrinth nor of Sarah rescuing him, only dreams of the castle and of Jareth and his goblins. He returns to the Labyrinth after a strange barn owl lured him and arrives in the maze itself. Since then, he has met many strange characters and tries to find his way in this strange new world.
Hoggle
![](/uploads/2/0/2/3/2023146/690404.jpg)
You have to understand my position. I'm a coward. And Jareth scares me.
Hoggle is a cowardly dwarf-goblin that works for Jareth, but becomes loyal to Sarah. Hoggle is irritated when Jareth pronounces his name wrongly, which he appears to do deliberately to annoy Hoggle.
Against his own wishes, Hoggle gives Sarah a peach as a gift from Jareth, who again threatens to dump him in the Bog of Eternal Stench if he does not do so. When Sarah loses her way as a result of being induced into a deep sleep by the peach, which subsequently causes Sarah to temporarily lose her memory, Hoggle is unable to cope with his feelings of guilt and remorse, and becomes estranged from Sarah.
At the entrance to the Goblin city, when Sarah, Ludo, and Sir Didymus are under attack from the guardian - a goblin in a towering suit of armour, Hoggle risks his life to save them. Hoggle is commended for his bravery by Sir Didymus and Ludo, whereas Sarah forgives him for his earlier mistake.
Hoggle is back to the Labyrinth to keep his old duty as the Gatekeeper to watch the gate and keep the fairies' population.
Sir Didymus: The Courageous Hero
![](/uploads/2/0/2/3/2023146/9932900.png)
So, had enough, eh? All right then, throw down your weapons, and I'll see that you're well-treated
Sir Didymus is a fox-terrier knight in the Labyrinth who stands as a guard to the Bog of Eternal Stench along with his steed, a cowardly sheepdog by the name of Ambrosius. Didymus is a fearless and brave fighter, often the first to run into a dangerous situation and the last to back out, if he indeed does back out, with very little regard to his own safety. He is a great fighter despite his size, and with his lance has shown to be an equal to some who are several times his size, including Ludo. As a knight, he follows a chivalrous sort of code and once he sets his mind to something there is very little that will stop him, though if you ask politely he may consider. Though it took a little persuasion he and Ambrosius joined Sarah and her group of friends in order to help her though he does not call her by her name but instead refers to her as "my lady".
Fiery #1

When your thing gets wild, chilly down, chilly down!
The apparent leader of the gang, this lively creature is the primary singer on "Chilly Down." With a squawking voice which varies in pitch, this Firey is the first to remove his limbs.

Come away, O human child…
Little is left of magic in the world – so perhaps it was natural that a boy of such a tender young age, wished away by a cousin’s momentary lapse of judgment – that this boy never feel fear in this brand new (albeit strange) world within the labyrinth. It wasn’t out of some morbid shock that he managed to run away from the goblins to lose himself within the walls
of the maze, but that intense curiosity to discover this new world. Raised by the fiery, by all right, it’s no secret he’s used them to replace the lost members of his family. He didn’t escape transformation altogether, however. No, he’s adopted quite the respectable bag of tricks from his new kin! At what cost, is the true question.

"Deception is a cruel act... It often has many players on different stages that corrode the soul."
Her sister had wished her away. The two had gotten into a huge argument...Over what. Dulci can't even recall anymore...All she knows was that it was serious and one or the other said some things that soon lead up to her being taken away to The Labyrinth.
Now I spend my days doing endless wandering through the maze called The Labyrinth. It really isn't all that bad..I do miss my home at times though. Even coming so far into my thoughts to think I've gone crazy, and this is all just a dream I can't wake myself from.

Right and wrong does not apply to me, I simply do what is necessary to survive and to safe keep those I want to protect.
I don’t remember much of what was before here, I remember my brothers, they were older then me, much older. They didn’t like me much, they kept telling me I was the reason mom died, my whole life they told me that. They hated me so I wasn’t surprised to find out they were the ones who wished me away. I was little then, not anymore, not now. This place is my home, the life here is mine and I’m their's. I am capable of great things, unimaginable things. I’ve lived for a very long time, longer then you could probably guess by looking at me. Me and mine exist to survive and I intend to outlast anything placed against me by any means necessary.

"The longer I stay the more like home it all feels."
He was just your average high school kid from Massachusetts. He grew up rooting on the Red Sox. His whole life was just the run of the mill stuff a kid like him would face. His parents were divorced. But it never seemed to matter. He was that guy wh never let the small things get to him. Everything was going just fine until that fateful day. A few days after his fifteenth birthday, he ended up in the Labyrinth. A simple hike up the occasional trail turned into being gone from home five years.

It’s just a story, not really that interesting. Just follow the plot and everything falls before you.
Well what is there to say? Time has seemed to pass by without warning. Long as mind serves I have served the master of the court. Jareth. No fair maiden, and no fire breathing beast in this tale. Only a traveler…I believe police is what a human once told me. That’s what I’m like, though I just hate conflict. Anger and ignorance only lead down a path of more pain. I focus to much on the now, maybe that’s why I missed out on all the glory of my home. Traveler, wanderer, and justice. Ask me for another word and at the moment I couldn’t give it to you. I need adventure…
